Immersion Workshops
What: The GREAT Project offers an informal, non-credit workshop once a semester, focusing on a different country, region of the world, or international cultural group.
Who: GREAT Project informal workshops are intended for young adults with IDD (generally 20-29 years old, high-functioning, and able to participate in a level-appropriate workshop). Student participants must be able to concentrate on their own for the three-hour classes, without interrupting others in the class.
Cost: $15 per student for each workshop. (Note: Payment required only after student has been notified of admission to secure place in class).
Application required: Class size is limited (intended to bring personalized attention to each participant, as well as enrich our international teacher/mentors). Applications for the next workshop opens December 1, 2019. All applications will be reviewed by a GREAT Project application committee. Decisions for the Spring 2020 class (held on January 25, 2020) will be emailed on January 4, 2020 (or sooner).
